So now we come to the operations part of a business.  What systems are best for your unique needs and most cost effective?  It all depends on how you work and your business.  As a veteran of hurricane Katrina, it is important that operations are designed to “run” from anywhere without interruption. I learned lots of lessons and it helps that technology is catching up to the needs of small business. Do you need portability?  Will you want to telecommute?  How to handle a sales force out in the field?  Telephones?  Email?  We will talk about all of it. All businesses have paper.  Filing, documentation and emergency binders are a must – and easy to do if you know how.
